家乐蜜印尼之旅 - 动物的地狱
During my trip, I chanced upon this pet shop in Ciwalk Mall @ Bandung and concluded that this place is a living hell for wildlife.
(below) They sell the common...
(below) as well as the uncommon...
(above) Bull frogs and tree frogs
(above) Iguana and lizards
(above) Serpents and Spiders
(above) The endangered Burmese Star Tortoises
(above) Even monkeys
This is not the only shop in the Indonesia that openly sell and trade wildlife. Illegal trade is less evident in Singapore because there are laws passed to limit such trade but you got to understand that Asia is a still hotbed of illegal wildlife trade. We are still far from eradicating this problem.
Singaporeans, being very educated, know all about this. But how many of us actually put our knowledge into good use? I urge everyone to play your part in condemning illegal trade.
If you know of anyone who owns illegal animals or are aware of anyone trading in them, call the Acres Wildlife Crime Hotline on +65 9783 7782.(http://www.acres.org.sg)
