Went to Mei Theng's 21st Birthday at downtown east. We got her a DKNY watch. It was really wonderful, practical and sweet.

There was not alot of people, approx 20+ and i think it was a great party!!! It was like "there were no extra people, those who are supposed to come came" and all her essences of friends, creme of the corps were there. I like this type of party where you get sincere blessings from your close friends. She had time to talk with and play with every friend there.

This party was a potluck, some brought Otah, some brought titbits. How Boring!!! WL, Winc and I brought CHOCOLATE FONDUE!!! It was WL's splendid idea!!! With the Fondue Fountain flowing with 1litre of super chocolaty dark chocolate. we brought one full box of fresh Strawberries, Mango ice cream cubes, Marshmallows and Banana.

Banana coated with chocolate was my all-time favorite. Winc likes mango ice cream and WL likes Strawberries. The fountain was flowing rapidly with freaking delicious chocolate in front of the mirror. WL, Winc and I set it up and we were like eating them non-stop and self-praising it alot. At least the first 20 dips were eaten by us. Subsequently, when more pple arrive, people who craving it up happily. :) I dare say its the MOST interesting potluck food there.

The rest was even more wonderful. Mei Theng's Dad is a Big Chef in Hotal Shangri-la. The food he cooked were of surperb standard. I did not care how ugly i look and i just went for many rounds. The Squid was cooked in the crab sweet chilli sauce style. Her dad sliced the squid in those restaurant super classy and artistic way(with cuttings and patterns on them). It was super tempting. After Dinner, WL and I went for 3 more plates squids.

The Beehoon stir-fried with Cabbage and SCALLOP was some royal-like and restaurant-like!!!! However, Stir-fried noodle, which i did not try, was even more popular. I dont know why.

Curry Chicken was very hotel style, catered for international guests, alot of milk, potatos and the the small pieces of chicken and not too spicy. Exactly suit my tastebud. Maybe because of her dad's big fame and big name, even very simple food like the deep-fried fishball tasted heavenly. It does not stink of fish.

The brocolli was at the side crowded with many people and very inaccessible so i did not try.

My 1st thought was to get her dad to cook for me during my birthday. But very pai sei... Wanted to bring some curry chicken home but her bro brought home first. Haiz. Missing the food. WL wanna learn culinary skills from her dad, i will definitely follow her along.
